NEW YORK, N.Y. – On Tuesday, February 3, the Met Basketball Writers Association announced that Queens College men's basketball senior forward
Tahj-Malik Campbell (Philadelphia, PA) was named to the MBWA Division II/III Honorable Mention list.
The recognition marks the second time this season Campbell has earned MET Honorable Mention honors.
Campbell led the Knights with an ECC weekly-high 27.5 points on 48.6% shooting, 8.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 2.5 steals, and 1.0 block per game. He opened the week with 22 points and 11 rebounds (team-leading ninth double-double of the season) to go along with four assists, two steals, and one block against CSI on Wednesday. In a thrilling comeback versus UDC on Saturday, Campbell delivered a career-best 33 points (ECC weekly-high) on 10 made field goals, adding six rebounds, four assists, three steals, and one block. Playing all 20 minutes of the second half, he scored 24 points on 8-of-12 shooting, hit two three-pointers, and went 6-for-6 from the free-throw line, marking his third 30+ point game this season.
