COLONIA, N.J. – In the third East Coast Conference men's soccer weekly report sheet released Monday afternoon, two Queens College men's soccer student-athletes were honored. Freshman forward
Bradyn Brown (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) earned Rookie of the Week honors for the second consecutive week, while redshirt-sophomore goalie
Thanasis Shehadeh (Nicosia, Cyprus) was named to the Honor Roll sheet.
Throughout the first three weeks, the Knights have earned a Rookie of the Week honoree.
Rookie of the Week
In a 1-0-1 week for the Knights, Brown tallied an ECC-high six points, recording his first career hat trick to lead Queens to a victory over Pace on Tuesday evening. The Lindenhurst native opened the scoring in the first half, then completed the hat trick with a second-half brace.
Honor Roll
In a 1-0-1 week for the Knights, Shehadeh recorded five saves, earning his third win and third shutout of the season. In Saturday's ECC opener at D'Youville, Shehadeh made two key stops to preserve a hard-fought scoreless draw, as the Knights played the majority of the match a man down. Earlier in the week, he tallied three saves in the win over Pace.
NEXT MATCH
The homestand continues on Tuesday, September 23, as the Knights host the East Stroudsburg University Warriors at Knights Field in non-conference action. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
