NEW BRITAIN, CONN. – The Queens College men's and women's Outdoor track and field teams competed in the Central Connecticut State University Invite Friday afternoon, while the men's Relay team traveled to Philadelphia to compete in the Penn Relays.

Men's Meet Highlights

• Senior Peter Hoffmann recorded a time of 2:15.97 in the 800m Run and a new career-best time of 4:32.19 in the 1500m Run.
• Senior John Ray placed fourth in the 3000m Run with a time of 8:57.18.
• Junior Jalen George placed ninth in the Shot Put with a mark of 12.42m and tenth in the Discus with a mark of 39.21m.
• While in Philadelphia, the Men's 4x400 Relay time of Justin Eweka, Kyle Gault, Ezequiel Zapata, and Kadeem Patterson placed sixth with a time of 3:31.68.

Women's Meet Highlights

• Senior Maria Flores competed in four events in New Britain as she set two new career bests with a time of 30.07 in the 200m Dash and a Long Jump mark of 3.79m.
• Sophomore Carly Koprowski recorded two new career best starting with a 27.71 time in the 200m Dash before finishing the day with a 2:12.99 time in the 800m Run as she placed first.
• Senior Fatima Morrobel recorded a new career best in the 200m Dash with a time of 29.41 and placed 10^th in the 400m Dash with a time of 1:05.33.
• Junior Rachel Mow placed seventh with a time of 11:36.78 in the 3000m Run, while teammate Joy Leong placed 10^th with a time of 13:56.80.
• Sophomore Kierstin Galloway recorded a new career best with a time of 1:22.19 in the 400m Hurdles and helped the 4x100 relay place sixth.
• Junior Madelyn McMath placed tenth in the Javelin Throw with a mark of 25.30m.
• In the Shot Put, senior Hayley Matthews placed 15^th with a mark of 9.31m.

NEXT MEET

The Knights head to Rochester, N.Y. to compete in the East Coast Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championship on Thursday, May 1, hosted by Roberts Wesleyan University at Roberts Stadium. The first event is set to start at 9:00 a.m.
