COLONIA, N.J. – On Monday, March 10, the East Coast Conference announced the third Softball report sheet of the year and three Queens College softball student-athletes were honored for their performances in games played between Mar. 3 – Mar. 9.
The trio of senior center fielder
Amanda Baez (Selden, N.Y.), senior third baseman
Emma Zumpol (Patchogue, N.Y.), and junior righty
Sam Voskinarian (East Northport, N.Y.) were awarded a Honor Roll spot.
Honor Roll – Amanda Baez (Selden, N.Y.)
Baez led the Knights' offense recording a .333 batting average, .733 slugging % and an OPS of 1.066 as she totaled five hits with a double, triple, and home run with two RBI, three runs scored, and 11 total bases. In the victory over Concord, the senior was a double away from hitting for the cycle as she recorded a season-best 3-4 AB with a triple, home run, two RBI, and two runs scored as Queens earned their first victory of the year with a 6-2 victory Sunday afternoon.
Honor Roll – Emma Zumpol (Patchogue, N.Y.)
Zumpol opened the season recording a four-game hitting streak as she boasted a team-high batting average of .417, an OPS of .950, and an On-Base % of .533 recording five hits, one walk, and two runs scored. The senior opened the year recording a two-hit performance against Northwood with a 2-3 AB morning before scoring two runs on Sunday afternoon for a 1-1 day for the Knights.
Honor Roll – Sam Voskinarian (East Northport, N.Y.)
Voskinarian made three appearances in the circle pitching 9.2 innings of work allowing six hits, one earned run, and three walks for an ERA of 0.72. In a tough 1-0 loss against Minnesota Duluth Saturday afternoon, the junior righty allowed four hits, and one earned run in a complete game. On Sunday, Voskinarian made two relief appearances as she earned her first career save in 1.2 innings of work against Concord allowing one hit and three walks to go with one strikeout as Queens earned their first victory of the year.

The Knights return to action on Tuesday, Mar. 11 with a match-up against regionally foe and NE10 member American International College Yellow Jackets at 2 p.m. before concluding the afternoon against MEC member Point Park University Pioneers at 4:15 p.m. in THE Spring Games.
