BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Queens College men's basketball team wrapped up their upstate New York against nationally ranked #2/3 Daemen University Wildcats inside Lumsden Gymnasium in East Coast Conference play.
The senior guard duo of
Nasan Ayala (LeFrak City, N.Y.) and
Shamar Chester (Queens, N.Y.) paced the offense as they combined for 28 points the Knights second half comeback would fall short as the Wildcats completed the series sweep to the final score of 91-67 Sunday afternoon.
With the loss, the Knights move to 5-8 overall and move into sixth place with four ECC games remaining on the docket.

The Knights would continue to keep pace with the Wildcats with Ayala leading the charge with eight of the first 10 points.
A three pointer from senior guard
Jade Tse (Queens, N.Y.) would put Queens up 13-12 by the 13:38 mark but the lead would be short-lived as the home side answered back with four straight points to take a 16-13 lead as the Knights went into a scoring drought.
Junior guard
Eric Tynes (Springfield, MA.) would break the drought at the 10:31 mark as the Knights started to put together a 6-4 run to get within one, 20-19 by the 9:20 mark.
Just as the Wildcats extended their lead back to five points, a three-point play from senior forward
Damiri Lindo (Oakland, CA.) would get the Knights within two, 24-22 by the 7:58 mark.
However just as Queens got their deficit down to two, the Wildcats responded with a 24-12 run over the next 7:39 minutes of play to take a 48-36 lead into halftime.
As the Knights looked to keep their deficit within distance, the Wildcats would maintain a shooting % of above 55 while holding the Knights to just nine made field goals on a 30.0% shooting to earn the victory to the final score of 91-67.

- Ayala notched 16 points to go with three rebounds, two assists, and two steals.
- Chester recorded 12 points, two rebounds, and one assist.
NEXT TIP-OFF
The Knights conclude their home portion of their ECC slate with a two-game homestand starting on Wednesday, Feb. 19 as the Mercy University Mavericks come to town. Tip-off is set for 5:00 p.m.
