WORCESTER, MA. – Kicking off a three-game road stretch, the Queens College men's basketball team traveled to Worcester, Massachusetts, to face defending East Regional champions Assumption University inside Andrew Laska Gymnasium.
Four Knights reached double digits in scoring, led by standout double-doubles from senior forward
Tahj-Malik Campbell (Philadelphia, PA), who posted 22 points and 15 rebounds, and rookie forward
Henri Mennander (Helsinki, Finland), who set a career-high with 22 points and 12 rebounds. Junior guards
Dontae Prescott (Coney Island, N.Y.) and
Johnny Jones (Bronx, N.Y.) also contributed 17 and 15 points, respectively, combining for 32 points. Despite the balanced offensive effort, a 12-point halftime deficit proved costly in the back-and-forth second half, as Queens fell 104-91 to the Greyhounds in a high-scoring affair.
