FLUSHING, N.Y. – The Queens College women's basketball team is coming off a 1-1 week which saw them fall in overtime to Mercy Wednesday evening before earning a thrilling victory over St. Thomas Aquinas College Saturday afternoon in East Coast Conference play.
The Knights welcome the Lions of Molloy University to Flushing in ECC play on Wednesday (Feb. 7) evening as they look to earn the series split.
Queens College Knights Preview
- The Knights are coming off a 1-1 week as they fell in overtime to Mercy before bouncing back with a victory over STAC.
- Sophomore guard Brianna Davis (Bronx, N.Y.) leads the offense averaging 15.4 points, and 5.6 rebounds to go with 2.5 assists and 2.5 steals per game with two double-doubles on the year.
- Davis recorded her second double-double of the year with a career-high 31 points to go with 10 rebounds and four steals against Mercy (1.31)
- On Monday (Feb. 5) Davis was awarded her second ECC Player & Defensive Player of the Week honors.

- Awaka has tallied seven double-doubles on the year with a career-best 29 points (vs. Wilmington), 19 rebounds (vs. STAC), three blocks (vs. Caldwell), & four steals (vs. Felician)
- On Monday (Jan. 29) afternoon Awaka would earn her eighth ECC Rookie of the Week honors.

- On Tuesday (Dec. 19) Awaka was named to the MBWA Honorable Mention list
- Rookie guard Jalea Abrams (Elmira, N.Y.) is averaging 11.2 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.4 steals per game.
- Abrams tallied a career-high 21 points in the victory over Roberts Wesleyan (Jan. 19) Friday evening.
- On Monday (Feb. 5) afternoon Abrams earned second ECC Rookie of the Week Honors.

- The Knights are looking to earn a series split for the second straight year having fallen back on January 31, 2024, in Rockville Centre.
- Trinity Hudson leads the offense averaging 13.8 points, 11.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists, and 1.7 steals per game.
- Samantha Muller is averaging 10.1 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game.

The Knights open a four-game road stand beginning with a trip to Rochester, N.Y. on Friday (Feb. 16) evening as they wrap the two-game series against the Redhawks of Roberts Wesleyan University.
