FLUSHING, N.Y. – The Queens College women's basketball team returned to the wins column with a victory over Roberts Wesleyan University in their lone game last Friday evening to open a four-game road stand.
The road trip continues with a two-game slate beginning on Wednesday (Feb. 21) evening with a stop in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. against the Mavericks of Mercy University before concluding the week in Sparkill, N.Y. on Saturday (Feb. 24) afternoon against the Spartans of St. Thomas Aquinas College.
Queens College Knights Preview
- The Knights went 1-0 as they earned a series sweep over Roberts Wesleyan in Rochester Friday evening in East Coast Conference play.
- Sophomore guard Brianna Davis (Bronx, N.Y.) leads the offense averaging 15.1 points, 5.7 rebounds to go with 2.5 assists and 2.5 steals per game and two double-doubles on the year.
- Davis recorded her second double-double of the year with a career-high 31 points to go with 10 rebounds and four steals against Mercy (1.31)
- On Monday (Feb. 5) Davis was awarded her second ECC Player & Defensive Player of the Week honors.

- Awaka has tallied seven double-doubles on the year with a career-best 29 points (vs. Wilmington), 19 rebounds (vs. STAC), three blocks (vs. Caldwell), & four steals (vs. Felician)
- On Tuesday (Feb. 20) afternoon Awaka would earn her ninth ECC Rookie of the Week honors.
