FLUSHING, N.Y. – The Queens College women's volleyball team is coming off a tough five-match road stand as they went 2-3 but they would end the road stand earning a comeback five set East Coast Conference victory on Sunday afternoon.
Last week the Knights fell to New Haven in three sets, Daemen in three sets before earning a five set victory over D'Youville to conclude the road stand.
Queens College Knights Preview (2024 Record: 17-9 overall, 7-2 ECC)
- Through the first nine weeks of the regular season, head coach Stefan Leger and the Knights boast an overall record of 17-9, 7-2 ECC, and enter week ten of the season coming off a 2-3 week.
- As a team, the Knights have recorded 1179 kills averaging 11.7 per set, 1104 assists averaging 10.9 per set, 202 service aces averaging 2.0 per set, and 182.5 total blocks averaging 1.8 per set.
- In the 2024 East Coast Conference Coaches' Preseason Poll, the Knights have been tabbed to finish fourth and take the last postseason spot earning 26 total points. (Link)
- Junior outside hitter Kendall Conrad (Carrolltown, PA) leads the offense having recorded a team-high 254 kills and 23 service aces to go with two double-doubles
- Conrad recorded a season-best 17 kills in the victor over D'Youville Saturday (10.5), 14 digs in the victory over Roberts Wesleyan Sunday afternoon, and tied a career-best five service aces against Pittsburgh-Johnston on Saturday (9.14)
- The junior has earned four ECC Honor Roll spots through the first nine ECC Weekly Report Sheets.
- Freshman setter/right side Madi Hathaway (Edmond, OK) has recorded 218 kills on a .242 hitting %, 209 digs, 287 assists, and 34 service aces.
- The Edmond native has recorded six triple-doubles and eight double-doubles notching a career-high 18 kills on a .342 hitting % against Bridgeport, 27 assists against East Stroudsburg, 19 digs against Post, and 13 service aces against Holy Family
- On Monday (Nov. 4) Hathaway earned her eighth spot on the ECC Women's Volleyball Weekly Report Sheet as she was named to the Honor Roll Sheet.
- On the year Hathaway has earned three ECC Player of the Week, five Rookie of the Week honors, and two Honor Roll spots on the Weekly Report Sheet.
- The rookie is ranked third in the nation with six Triple-Doubles.
- Junior libero Sarah Munn (Torrance, CA) leads the team in digs (448) and has recorded 32 service aces to go with one double-double.
- On Monday (Oct. 7) Munn earned her third straight spot on the ECC Weekly Report Sheet as she was named on the Honor Roll sheet.
- She was named ECC Defensive Player of the Week on September 9.
- The junior notched her first career double-double against Post on Sept. 7 with 20 digs and 11 assists.
- Munn recorded a program and career-best 35 digs against D'Youville on Oct. 6.
- Senior setter Despina Boudouris (Athens, Greece) has recorded 617 assists, 182 digs, and 22 service aces to go with five double-doubles.
- On Friday, Sept. 13, Boudouris became the sixth player in program history to surpass the 2K Assist mark.
- On Wednesday, Sept. 25 the senior recorded a career-best five service aces in the victory over Holy Family.
- On the year Boudouris has earned five ECC Honor Roll spots (9.9 | 9.16 | 9.30 | 10.21 | 10.28).
Opponent Outlook
The Knights wrap their home portion of the schedule as they welcome the Redhawks of Roberts Wesleyan University to Flushing on Sunday, Nov.10 in East Coast Conference play on Senior Day.

- Overall Wins-Losses History: 10-13
- Last Win: 3-2 (9/29/24)
- Last Loss: 0-3 (11/7/21)
- The Redhawks enter the week with an overall record of 11-10 and 2-6 in ECC play and will match up against Molloy on Saturday afternoon in Rockville Centre before traveling to Queens on Sunday afternoon.
- It is the second meeting of the year against the Redhawks with Queens looking to complete the series sweep for the third straight season.
Week Ten Outlook
Leger and the Knights wrap up the regular season with back-to-back road games in ECC play beginning on Wednesday, Nov. 13 with a trip to Sparkill, N.Y. against the Spartans of St. Thomas Aquinas College before officially concluding the regular season on Saturday, Nov. 16 in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. against the Mavericks of Mercy University.
