FLUSHING, N.Y. – The Queens College women's basketball team gets set to open a three-game week beginning with a road trip to Wilmington, DE on Tuesday, Nov. 26 as they match up against the Wildcats of Wilmington University.
Following the road trip, the Knights open a three-game homestand beginning with hosting the Knights Thanksgiving Invitational starting on Saturday, Nov. 30 against the Golden Falcons of Felician University. Queens will conclude the weekend on Sunday, Dec. 1 against the Chargers of Dominican University.
Queens College Knights Preview
- The Knights enter the week in search of their first win of the year.
- As a team, the Knights are averaging 53.0 PPG on 36.5% shooting, 36.5 RPG, 10.0 APG, 5.5 SPG, and 3.5 BPG.
- Sophomore guard Jalea Abrams (Elmira, N.Y.) is tied for first in 11.0 PPG to go with 3.5 RPG and 2.5 APG.
- Abrams recorded a season-high 19 points with four made three-pointers to go with three rebounds and four assists against Chestnut Hill on Nov. 10.
- Sophomore forward Nkiru Awaka (Hyde Park, N.Y.) is tied for first averaging 11.0 PPG, and 7.0 RPG.
- Awaka recorded a near double-double with a season-high14 points to go with eight rebounds against Chestnut Hill on Nov. 10.
- In the ECC preseason poll, head coach Bet Naumovski and her squad have been tabbed to finish seventh earning 29 points, just a point shy of the sixth spot. (Link)

- It will be the fourth straight season meeting against their non-conference foe with Queens having earned a 59-50 victory over Felician last season.
Dominican University

- Dominican enters the week with an overall record of 5-1 and will match against Staten Island on Tuesday and Molloy tipping off against the Knights on Sunday afternoon.
- The Charges enter the week ranked sixth in the D2 CSC East Region poll and will be the third ranked opponent Queens are matching up against this season.
- Sunday's meeting will be the eighth All-Time meeting against their non-conference foe with Queens trailing the All-Time series to a record of 2-5.
- The Knights are in search of their first win over the Chargers since the 64-58 victory on November 29, 2017, in Flushing.
Week Five Outlook
The Knights will use the week to prepare for their East Coast Conference home opener on Saturday, Dec. 7 against the Lions of Molloy University.
