Both teams traded early leads with each side using runs of three points, and with the Knights trailing 12-10, a kill from senior Alicia Cervera (Valencia, Spain) and back-to-back Daemen errors would allow the Knights to tie the set at 13-13.

But the Wildcats would take six of the next 10 points to take a 19-17 lead before closing the first set with a 25-19 victory and take a 1-0 match lead.

In the second set Queens would fall behind by three points before a Conrad kill combined with two Wildcats errors allowed the Knights to tie the set at 8-8, however, four straight points from the Wildcats would see them take a 13-8 lead and never let up as they took a 2-0 match lead with a 25-21 second set victory.

In the third set, Queens fell behind 7-4 before the Knights offense recorded four kills in a 6-3 run to tie the set at 10-10.

But the Wildcats would answer back with an 11-6 run to take a 21-16 lead before Conrad recorded two kills in a 6-1 run to tie the set at 22-22.

Daemen would take a 23-22 lead before a kill from rookie Madi Hathaway (Edmond, OK) and a block from junior Maya Angelova (Kyustendil, Bulgaria) put the Knights at set point to the score of 24-23.

Both teams would trade the next four points with Queens at set point, but back-to-back errors would hurt the Knights before the Wildcats recorded the win to the final score of 28-26 and completed the three set sweep and earned an ECC series split Saturday afternoon.
