FLUSHING, N.Y. – A two-game homestand opens on Saturday, Nov. 16 as the Queens College men's basketball team welcomes the Griffins of Chestnut Hill College to town.
Last weekend the Knights opened the season in Garden City as they fell to Pace and Adelphi in the ECCxNE10 Conference Challenge.
Queens College Knights Outlook
- Queens enters Saturday looking for their first win of the year as a two-game homestand opens in Flushing.
- As a team, the Knights are averaging 62.5 PPG on 35.2% shooting, 27.5 RPG, 6.0 APG, 8.5 SPG, and 2.0 BPG.
- Senior guard Shamar Chester (Queens, N.Y.) leads the Knights averaging 12.5 PPG, 3.0 RPG, and 1.0 APG through two games.
- Chester recorded a season-high 16 points on 5-of-8 shooting to go with three rebounds, one assist and one steal against Adelphi on Saturday, Nov. 9.
- The senior needs 147 points to join the 1K Points club.
- Senior guard Nasan Ayala (Lefrak City, N.Y.) is averaging 11.5 PPG and 1.5 RPG per game.
- Ayala scored 15 points on 4-of-7 shooting to go with five made free throws in the Knights season opener against Pace on Friday, Nov. 8.
- In the 2024-2025 Preseason Poll head Coach Matt Collier's squad has been voted to finish sixth earning 38 points and earning the last spot of the six-team ECC Men's Basketball Postseason Tournament. (Link)

In week two of the season, the Knights welcome the Griffins of Chestnut Hill College to Fitzgerald Gymasium on Saturday, Nov. 16 in non-conference play.

- The Griffins enter the week with an overall record of 0-2 and are coming off losses to Daemen and Roberts Wesleyan in Amherst.

- It is the third meeting since the 2018-19 season when the Knights fell on the road to the final score of 55-62 on November 17, 2018
Week Three Outlook
Two games are on the docket for the Knights as they conclude the season-opening homestand on Wednesday, Nov. 20 against the Yellow Jackets of American International College before hitting the road to Wilmington, DE on Saturday, Nov. 23 against the Lightning of Goldey-Beacom College.
