FLUSHING, N.Y. – The Queens College women's volleyball team is coming off a three set sweep in East Coast Conference play as the Knights concluded their home portion of the regular season on Sunday afternoon.
Last week the Knights completed an ECC sweep over Roberts Wesleyan in three sets on Senior Day to conclude the home portion of their regular season schedule.
Queens College Knights Preview (2024 Record: 18-9 overall, 8-2 ECC)
- Through the first ten weeks of the regular season, head coach Stefan Leger and the Knights boast an overall record of 18-9, 8-2 ECC, and enter week eleven of the season coming off a 1-0 week.
- As a team, the Knights have recorded 1217 kills averaging 11.7 per set, 1137 assists averaging 10.9 per set, 210 service aces averaging 2.0 per set, and 192.5 total blocks averaging 1.9 per set.
- In the 2024 East Coast Conference Coaches' Preseason Poll, the Knights have been tabbed to finish fourth and take the last postseason spot earning 26 total points. (Link)
- Junior outside hitter Kendall Conrad (Carrolltown, PA) leads the offense having recorded a team-high 260 kills and 23 service aces to go with two double-doubles
- Conrad recorded a season-best 17 kills in the victor over D'Youville Saturday (10.5), 14 digs in the victory over Roberts Wesleyan Sunday afternoon, and tied a career-best five service aces against Pittsburgh-Johnston on Saturday (9.14)
- The junior has earned four ECC Honor Roll spots through the first ten ECC Weekly Report Sheets.
- Freshman setter/right side Madi Hathaway (Edmond, OK) has recorded 227 kills on a .248 hitting %, 211 digs, 290 assists, and 37 service aces.
- The Edmond native has recorded six triple-doubles and eight double-doubles notching a career-high 18 kills on a .342 hitting % against Bridgeport, 27 assists against East Stroudsburg, 19 digs against Post, and 13 service aces against Holy Family
- On Monday (Nov. 11) Hathaway earned her ninth spot on the ECC Women's Volleyball Weekly Report Sheet as she was named to the Honor Roll Sheet.
- On the year Hathaway has earned three ECC Player of the Week, five Rookie of the Week honors, and three Honor Roll spots on the Weekly Report Sheet.
- The rookie is ranked third in the nation with six Triple-Doubles.
- Junior libero Sarah Munn (Torrance, CA) leads the team in digs (460) and has recorded 33 service aces to go with one double-double.
- On Monday (Oct. 7) Munn earned her third straight spot on the ECC Weekly Report Sheet as she was named on the Honor Roll sheet.
- She was named ECC Defensive Player of the Week on September 9.
- The junior notched her first career double-double against Post on Sept. 7 with 20 digs and 11 assists.
- Munn recorded a program and career-best 35 digs against D'Youville on Oct. 6.
- Senior setter Despina Boudouris (Athens, Greece) has recorded 642 assists, 187 digs, and 24 service aces to go with five double-doubles.
- On Friday, Sept. 13, Boudouris became the sixth player in program history to surpass the 2K Assist mark.
- On Wednesday, Sept. 25 the senior recorded a career-best five service aces in the victory over Holy Family.
- On the year Boudouris has earned six ECC Honor Roll spots (9.9 | 9.16 | 9.30 | 10.21 | 10.28 | 11.11).
Opponent Outlook
The Knights wrap up the regular season of the schedule with back-to-back East Coast Conference road matches beginning with a trip to Sparkill, N.Y. against the Spartans of St. Thomas Aquinas College on Wednesday, Nov. 13 before officially concluding the regular season on Saturday, Nov. 16 against the Mavericks of Mercy University in Dobbs Ferry.

- The Spartans enter the week with an overall record of 7-16 and 1-9 in ECC play and are coming off a three set loss to Daemen at home.
- It is the second meeting of the year against the Spartans with Queens looking to complete the series sweep for the second straight season.
Mercy University Preview
- Overall Wins-Losses History: 28-23
- Last Win: 3-1 (9/30/23)
- Last Loss: 1-3 (10/19/24)
- The Mavericks enter the week with an overall record of 14-8 and 7-3 in ECC play and will match up against Molloy University in Rockville Centre on Wednesday before hosting the Knights on Saturday afternoon.
- It is the second meeting of the year against the Mavericks with Queens looking to earn a series split having dropped the first meeting at home on Oct. 19 to the score of 3-1.
- In the last two seasons, Queens has earned a series split with both teams earning victories at home.
- The Knights are looking for their first victory in Dobbs Ferry since October 3, 2017, when Queens earned a three set sweep.
