FLUSHING, N.Y. – Last week the Queens College women's volleyball team continued their winning way as they recorded a victory in their lone East Coast Conference match of the week.
Last week the Knights defeated Molloy University in four sets on Thursday evening.
Queens College Knights Preview (2024 Record: 14-5 overall, 4-0 ECC)
- Through the first six weeks of the regular season, head coach Stefan Leger and the Knights boast an overall record of 14-5, 4-0 ECC, and enter week seven of the season on a seven-match winning streak.
- As a team, the Knights have recorded 872 kills averaging 11.6 per set, 820 assists averaging 10.9 per set, 154 service aces averaging 2.1 per set, and 135.5 total blocks averaging 1.8 per set.
- In the 2024 East Coast Conference Coaches' Preseason Poll, the Knights have been tabbed to finish fourth and take the last postseason spot earning 26 total points. (Link)
- The Knights are led by freshman setter/right side Madi Hathaway (Edmond, OK) who has recorded 157 kills on a .249 hitting %, 169 digs, 228 assists, and 33 service aces.
- The Edmond native has recorded five triple-doubles and seven double-doubles notching a career-high 18 kills on a .342 hitting % against Bridgeport, 27 assists against East Stroudsburg, 19 digs against Post, and 13 service aces against Holy Family
- On Monday (Oct. 7) Hathaway earned her fifth straight spot on the ECC Women's Volleyball Weekly Report Sheet as she was named Rookie of the Week for the fourth time this year.
- Hathaway has earned two ECC Player and Rookie of the Week honors (9.9 | 9.16) and one Honor Roll (9.23) spot.
- The rookie is tied for first in the nation in Triple-Doubles (5) after the fifth week of play.
- Junior outside hitter Kendall Conrad (Carrolltown, PA) has recorded a team-high 190 kills and 21 service aces to go with two double-doubles
- Conrad recorded a season-best 17 kills in the victor over D'Youville Saturday (10.5), 14 digs in the victory over Roberts Wesleyan Sunday afternoon, and tied a career-best five service aces against Pittsburgh-Johnston on Saturday (9.14)
- The junior earned three ECC Honor Roll spots through the first six ECC Weekly Report Sheets.
- Junior libero Sarah Munn (Torrance, CA) leads the team in digs (362) and has recorded 24 service aces to go with one double-double.
- On Monday (Oct. 7) Munn earned her third straight spot on the ECC Weekly Report Sheet as she was named on the Honor Roll sheet.
- She was named ECC Defensive Player of the Week on September 9.
- The junior notched her first career double-double against Post on Sept. 7 with 20 digs and 11 assists.
- Munn recorded a program and career-best 35 digs against D'Youville on Oct. 6.
- Senior setter Despina Boudouris (Athens, Greece) has recorded 436 assists, 141 digs, and 17 service aces to go with four double-doubles.
- On Friday, Sept. 13, Boudouris became the sixth player in program history to surpass the 2K Assist mark.
- On Wednesday, Sept. 25 the senior recorded a career-best five service aces in the victory over Holy Family.
- On the year Boudouris has earned three ECC Honor Roll spots (9.9 | 9.16 | 9.30).
Opponent Outlook
The Knights conclude their season-high five-match ECC homestand beginning on Tuesday, Oct. 15 as they welcome the Spartans of St. Thomas Aquinas College before concluding the week's play on Saturday, Oct. 19 against the Mavericks of Mercy University.

- Overall Wins-Losses History: 4-0

- The Spartans enter the week with an overall record of 5-11 and 0-4 in ECC play and are coming off a weekend ECC loss to Mercy University.
- The Knights lead the All-Time series 4-0 against the Spartans with the Spartans having brought back the women's volleyball program last season. In their last four meetings, the Knights have dropped just one set in the All-Time series.
Mercy University Preview
- Overall Wins-Losses History: 28-19
- Last Win: 3-1 (9/30/23)
- Last Loss: 0-3 (10/29/23)
- The Mavericks enter the week with an overall record of 7-5 and 1-3 in ECC play and are coming off a weekend ECC victory over St. Thomas Aquinas College.
- The Knights lead the All-Time series 28-19 and have split the last four meetings with both sides defending their home court.
Week Eight Outlook
Leger and the Knights open their second five-match road stand beginning on Thursday, Oct. 24 as they travel to Rockville Centre, N.Y. for their second meeting against the Lions of Molloy University before concluding their week in West Chester, PA in non-conference play against the Golden Rams of West Chester University on Saturday, Oct. 26.
