FLUSHING, N.Y. – The Queens College men's basketball team is riding a three-game win streak having earned non-conference victories over Georgian Court and Goldey-Beacom and an East Coast Conference victory over Molloy University.
 
The Knights look to extend that streak as they welcome the Redhawks of Roberts Wesleyan University to town on Friday (Jan. 19) evening in ECC play.

Queens College Knights Preview

• The Knights are riding a three-game win streak and look to extend it to four games as they host the Redhawks on Friday evening.
• Senior guard Sunnie Diamond (Atlanta, GA) leads the offense averaging 17.8 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 4.9 assists per game with three double-doubles.
  • Diamond recorded his second double-double of the year with a season-high 33 points, and 11 rebounds to go with five assists in the victory over Daemen Sunday afternoon.
  • Against Cheyney (Nov. 15) Diamond recorded his first double-double of the year with 23 points and 10 rebounds.
  • On Tuesday (Jan. 19) Diamond earned his ECC Player of the Week honors and has been named to the Honor Roll sheet on three separate occasions.

  • On Tuesday (Jan. 19) Diamond was named to the MBWA Honorable Mention list for the first time.
• Senior forward Malik Bentinck (Queens, N.Y.) is averaging 12.9 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks per game with seven double-doubles on the year.
  • In the victory over Caldwell (Dec. 5) Bentinck recorded a career-high 17 points and 15 rebounds.
  • On Tuesday (Dec.12) the senior earned MBWA Honorable Mention for his first regional honors of the year.
  • On Tuesday (Jan. 19) Bentinck earned his second Defensive Player of the Week nod and has been named to the Honor Roll list on three separate occasions.

• Roberts Wesleyan enters the week with an overall record of 6-6 and 3-1 in ECC play and are coming off a win over St. Thomas Aquinas College Sunday afternoon.
• Friday's meeting will be the first of two meetings this season and the 22^nd overall with the Knights leading the series 11-10.
• The Knights are looking to end a three-game losing streak with the last win coming on February 22, 2022, when Queens earned a 90-73 victory in Flushing.
• Malik Brooks leads the offense averaging 19.9 points, 5.1 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.7 steals per game.
• Kevin Constant is averaging 13.9 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.6 steals per game.

Next Game

The Knights hit the road on Monday (Jan. 22) evening as they match up against Division I Hawks of the University of Maryland Eastern Shores in an Exhibition game. Tip-off set for 7:00 p.m.
