STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – Looking to conclude the week on a high note, the Queens College women's soccer team traveled to Staten Island, N.Y. for an East Coast Conference match against the Dolphins of College of Staten Island on Saturday afternoon.
Both teams notched a combined 16 shots with the Knights recording a 4-3 margin on shots of goal, but Queens would have to settle for a scoreless draw against the Dolphins to earn their first ECC point of the year.
With the draw, the Knights see their record move to 3-4-2 overall and 0-2-1 in ECC play on the year. Saturday's draw sees Queens keep their unbeaten record against the Dolphins intact as the series moves to a 2-0-2 All-Time.

The Knights started the match as the aggressor with freshman
Evelyn Martinez Phelps (Smithtown, N.Y) recording the first shot of the match in the third minute of play but it would sail out left.
Staying on the offense, junior
Julia Ragone (Centereach, N.Y.) would tally the first shot on goal in the 13
thminute of play but the Centereach native would be denied on a timely save from the Dolphins goalie.
In the final 15 minutes of play, the Dolphins would hold possession as they rattled off five shots with three shots on goal. But graduate student goalie
Erin Kelly (Massapequa, N.Y.) would keep her side in the match as she held the Dolphins offense at bay.
However, both sides would go into halftime with the match still scoreless.
Queens began the second half as the aggressors once again as freshman
Laila Morales (Long Island City, N.Y.) saw her shot on goal denied by the Dolphins in the 48
th minute of play.
Staying on the offense, Phelps's second shot of the game would sail out left in the 54
th minute of play.
After the Dolphins shot in the 57
th minute of play sailed top left, the Knights on the counterattack looked to have found the goal they were searching for.
In the 58
th minute of play freshman
Jenna Rosenberger's (Smithtown, N.Y.) shot on target was denied by the Dolphins goalie, but Ragone on the rebound attempt looked to have given the Knights a 1-0 lead however the goal was called off as she was found to be offside.
Rosenberger would tally another shot on goal in the 74
th minute of play but once again the Dolphins defense would hold firm. As the Knights continued to keep the Dolphins offense away, Ragone's shot in the 81
stminute would get blocked before both sides settled for a 0-0 draw at the final whistle of play.
