FLUSHING, N.Y. – After a 2-0 week in which the Queens College men's basketball team extended their win streak to three games, the Knights get ready for another tough test in their lone game of the week.
On Wednesday (Nov. 22) afternoon, the Knights travel to Orangeburg, N.Y. as they match up against the #5 regionally ranked Dominican University of New York in non-conference play.
Queens College Knights Preview
- The Knights went 2-0 last week as they defeated Cheyney in their home opener on Wednesday evening before earning a road victory over Bridgeport in Connecticut on Saturday evening.
- Senior guard Sunnie Diamond (Atlanta, GA) leads the offense averaging 24.0 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per game.
- Diamond recorded a season-high 28 points to go with eight rebounds and seven assists as he fell short of his second career triple-double.
- Against Cheyney (Nov. 15) Diamond recorded his first double-double of the year with 23 points and 10 rebounds.
- On Monday (Nov. 13) Diamond was awarded a Honor Roll on the first ECC Men's Basketball Weekly Award Sheet of the year.
- Senior Forward Malik Bentinck (St. Albans, N.Y.) is averaging 13.3 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks per game.
- Against Cheyney (Nov. 15) Bentinck recorded his first double-double of the year with 10 points and 12 rebounds.
- In the victory over Bridgeport on Nov. 16, the senior recorded a career-high 16 points.
- On Monday (Nov. 20) Bentinck was awarded a Honor Roll on the second ECC Men's Basketball Weekly Award Sheet of the year.
