WEST BABYLON, N.Y. – On Monday (Oct. 23) afternoon, the East Coast Conference announced Weeks seven and eight of the weekly awards for the fall sports, and seven Queens College Student-Athletes were honored for their performances from Oct. 16 to Oct. 22.
Women's tennis and Volleyball each placed three student-athletes, while men's soccer earned a honor roll spot.
Women's Tennis – Week Seven
ECC Co-Player of the Week – Apolline Lamy (Sophomore | Toulouse, France)
- For the second time this season, Lamy has earned Co-Player of the Week on the final weekly award sheet of the year.
- Lamy concluded ECC play undefeated in singles play with a 5-0 record as she went 4-0 on the weekend with victories over Daemen and D'Youville in singles and doubles play. Lamy began the weekend with a 6-1 victory at #2 doubles before earning a 6-2, 6-1 victory at #3 singles over Yinett Del Leon. The sophomore would conclude the weekend with another 2-0 outing as she was promoted to #1 doubles and #2 singles and would earn a 6-1 victory in doubles before completing an undefeated weekend with a 7-5, 6-2 victory over Khushi Agarwal.

ECC Honor Roll – Caroline Hany Fawzy (Junior | Alexandria, Egypt)
- Fawzy earns her second weekly award honors as the junior finds a spot on the Honor Roll sheet in the final women's tennis weekly report sheet.
- Fawzy finished ECC play with an undefeated record of 5-0 as she went 2-0 in singles against Daemen and D'Youville over the weekend. The junior began the week's play with a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Kista Scime as she was promoted to #2 singles. On Saturday she would be promoted to #1 singles against DYU and would defeat Yuliia Kashtelian to the score of 6-1, 6-2, and earned a 6-0 victory at #2 doubles.
ECC Honor Roll – Kayla Taszymowicz (Sophomore | Brooklyn, N.Y.)
- For the second time this season, Taszymowicz has earned weekly award honors as the sophomore finds a spot on the Honor Roll sheet in the final women's tennis report sheet.
- Taszymowicz concluded ECC play with a 3-0 record as she ended the regular season with a 2-0 weekend in singles play. Playing at #5 singles against Maya Chon of Daemen, the rookie earned a 6-4, 6-2 victory. She would end the weekend with another victory as she was promoted to #4 singles against Paola Ermina of D'Youville and earned a 6-0, 6-2 victory.
Volleyball – Week Eight
ECC Player of the Week – Kendal Conrad (Sophomore | Carrolltown, PA)
- For the second time this season Conrad has earned Player of the Week honors and third overall to go with one Honor Roll mention.
- Conrad led the Knights offense recording 37 kills hitting .253, 21 digs, four blocks, and four service aces in two matches. Conrad recorded a career-high 24 kills to go with nine digs, three blocks, and one service ace in a five-set loss to Adelphi. On Sunday in the 3-0 ECC victory over Roberts Wesleyan, the sophomore recorded her fifth double-double of the year with 13 kills hitting .276, and 12 digs to go with three service aces and one block.
ECC Setter of the Week – Despina Boudouris (Junior | Athens, Greece)
- For the sixth time this year, Boudouris has earned a spot on the weekly award sheet as she earns her fourth Setter of the Week honors.
- Boudouris recorded 74 assists, 25 digs, four service aces, and four kills in two matches. In a tough non-conference match against Adelphi, the junior recorded her 10th double-double of the year with 44 assists and a career-high 19 digs in the five-set match. She would conclude the weekend with 30 assists, six digs, two service aces, and one kill in the 3-0 sweep over Roberts Wesleyan in ECC play.
ECC Honor Roll – Sarah Munn (Sophomore | Torrance, CA)
- For the fourth time this year, Munn has found a spot on the weekly award sheet as the sophomore earns her third Honor Roll spot.
- Munn recorded 31 digs, seven service aces, and 62 receptions on the week. In a tough loss to Adelphi in five sets Munn recorded 24 digs and a career-high four service aces. In the 3-0 ECC victory over Roberts Wesleyan, the sophomore tallied seven digs and nearly matched a career-high in service ace as she tallied three on the afternoon.
Men's Soccer – Week Eight
ECC Honor Roll – Austin Matthews (Senior | Chico, CA)
- For the first time this season, Matthews has earned a Honor Roll spot and becomes the third goalie to earn a weekly award.
- Matthews made two starts on the week in net and recorded seven saves including two in the Knights 3-0 victory over Molloy Saturday afternoon. After recording five saves in the tough loss to STAC, the Chico native made two saves to earn his first career victory and shutout of the year over the Lions to boost Queens ECC's standing for a top-four finish.
