FLUSHING, N.Y. - The Queens College volleyball team went 2-1 last week as they opened the week with East Coast Conference play at STAC with a victory before falling to Saint Rose in non-conference play. They would end the week with a victory over Mercy at home in ECC play.
This week the Knights continue ECC play with a trip to Rockville Centre, N.Y. on Tuesday (Oct. 3) evening against the Lions of Molloy University before traveling to Rochester, N.Y. to conclude the week against the Redhawks of Roberts Wesleyan University on Sunday (Oct. 8) afternoon.

Queens College Knights Preview (9-5 Overall Record, 3-1 ECC)
- Head Coach Stefan Leger and the Knights went 2-1 last week earning ECC victories over STAC and Mercy with the lone loss coming in non-conference play against Saint Rose.
- The Knights are led by sophomore Kendall Conrad (Carrolltown, PA) who has recorded 183 kills (3.33 kps), 24 service aces, 129 digs, and 25 blocks with four double-doubles.
- Conrad tied a career-high 20 kills to go with 16 in the 3-2 victory over D'Youville (9/24).
- She would record a career-best four blocks against Holy Family (9/8) and five services against Wilmington (9/9).
- Conrad was named ECC Player of the Week on September 11
- On October 2nd, Conrad was awarded a spot on the ECC Honor Roll sheet.
- Junior Christina Franco (Lynbrook, N.Y.) has tallied 136 kills (second on the team), to go with 17 service aces, 173 digs, and sixth double-doubles on the season.
- Franco recorded a season-high 17 kills against Pace (9/12)
- The junior notched 19 digs against Wilmington (9/9).
- Franco has been named to the ECC Honor Roll sheet twice this season.
- On October 2nd, Conrad was awarded ECC Player of the Week honors.
- Junior Despina Boudouris (Athens, Greece) tallied 492 assists, 129 digs, and 22 service aces to go with eight double-doubles on the season.
- She would record a season-best 48 assists in the win over Wilmington (9/9)
- Against Jefferson she would record her second straight 40-plus assist performance to go with a season-best 15 digs against Jefferson (9/9).
- Boudouris has been named ECC Weekly Award Sheet on three separate occasions earning Setter of the Week (3x), and Honor Roll (1x)
- On October 2nd, Boudouris was awarded her third Setter of the Week honors.
Molloy University Lions Preview (5-9 Overall Record, 2-2 ECC)
- Molloy enters the week with an overall record of 5-9 and 2-2 in conference play as they went 1-1 last week with a loss to Mercy before defeating STAC to conclude the week.
- It will be the 38th meeting between both sides with Queens trailing the series 18-19 overall.
- Last season the Knights ended a 10-match losing streak as they earned a 3-0 victory at home.
- Queens are in search of their first road victory in Rockville Centre since the 2015 season when they earned a 3-1 victory on Oct. 13.
- Kiarra Roth leads the offense tallying 167 kills, 10 service aces, 152 digs, and 35 blocks, while Roberta Monticelli has tallied 88 kills to go with 53 digs and 13 blocks.
Roberts Wesleyan University Redhawks Preview (4-9 Overall Record, 1-3 ECC)
- Roberts Wesleyan enters the week with an overall record of 4-9 and 1-3 in conference play. They are coming off a 0-2 week as they fell to Daemen and D'Youville in ECC play. The Redhawks will host Molloy on Saturday before welcoming the Knights on Sunday afternoon.
- It will be the 21st meeting between both sides with the Knights trailing the series 7-13. Last season Queens earned their first series sweep over the Redhawks since the 2017 season.
- Olivia Price leads the offense having recorded 125 kills, seven service aces, 108 digs, and 12 blocks, while Morgan Verbridge has tallied 97 kills to go with 33 blocks and 20 digs.

The Knights will have a week and a half off before opening a three-match homestand on Thursday (Oct. 19) evening as they welcome the Panthers of Adelphi University to Flushing.
