Men's Tennis Spring 2023 Released

FLUSHING, N.Y. – On Monday evening, the Queens College men's tennis team's spring 2023 schedule was announced.
 
The Knights are coming off a busy fall schedule which saw them compete in two dual matches and three tournaments. 
 
Head Coach Somadi Druker and the Knights will have a busy spring schedule that features 21 matches with 10 home matches inside the Queens College Tennis bubble, and 11 road matches including a spring trip to the Sunshine State. 
 
The Knights will match up against Division I opponents in the NorthEast Region before opening a hectic Division II schedule as they begin their journey for a fifth East Coast Conference title in six seasons and a 21st straight NCAA Men's Tournament appearance. 
 
It will be four straight Division I opponents to open the season as Queens begins the spring with a road match with a trip to West Long Branch, New Jersey as they go up against Monmouth University Hawks for the second time this season on Saturday (Feb. 18) evening.
 
The Knights will then open their home schedule with four matches beginning with three straight NEC opponents. The Long Island University Sharks visit Flushing on Friday (Feb. 24) afternoon before welcoming the Saint Francis College Terriers on Saturday (Feb. 25) evening. 
 
Following a three-day rest, Druker and the Knights host Fairleigh Dickinson University Knights in a Battle of the Knights affair on Tuesday (Feb. 28) afternoon. 
 
After opening the season against Division I opponents, the Knights shift their attention to Division II opponents beginning with four straight regional matches as the Rams of Thomas Jefferson University of the CACC come to town on Saturday (Mar. 4) evening. 
 
Queens hits the road with a local trip to Garden City, N.Y. as they face NE10 foe Panthers of Adelphi University on Thursday (Mar. 9) afternoon.
 
Following the road match, It is three straight home matches for Druker and her Knights as they host three matches in four days. The Griffins of Chestnut Hill College of the CACC visit Flushing on Wednesday (Mar. 15) afternoon in a regional match. 
 
Following the non-conference match against the Griffins, East Coast Conference play begins as the Firebirds of the University of the District of Columbia come to town on Friday (Mar. 17) afternoon. 
 
Druker and the Knights conclude Division I play as the Warriors of Merrimack College of NEC visit Flushing on Saturday (Mar. 18) evening. 
 
It will be eight-day rest in between their next match as they return to conference play. Queens will trek to the Nation's capital as they conclude their series against the Firebirds on Monday (Mar. 27) afternoon. 
 
It will be a short rest for the Knights as they welcome defending ECC Champions Spartans of Saint Thomas Aquinas College to town on Tuesday (Mar. 28) afternoon. 
 
Queens will end the month of March on the road in a regional matchup against the Eagle of Post University of CACC in Waterbury, CT on Thursday (Mar. 30) afternoon. 
 
The month of April will see Queens host two matches at home before concluding the regular season on the road with six straight matches. 
 
April opens in Flushing with ECC play as Druker and the Knights host the Wildcats of Daemen University on Saturday (Apr. 1) afternoon. 
 
The Knights will hit the road on Tuesday (Apr. 4) afternoon with a trip to Sparkill, N.Y. as they conclude the series against the Spartans in ECC play. 
 
Following the conference match-up against the Spartans, Queens return to regional play as they host NE10 Dolphins of Le Moyne College on Thursday (Apr. 6) evening to conclude their home regular season schedule. 
 
The 2023 regular season concludes on the road beginning with five straight non-conference in the Sunshine State against some of the top Division II opponents of the Sunshine State Conference. 
 
Druker and the Knights open the Florida trip in Miami Shores against three-time defending National champions in the Buccaneers of Barry University on Monday (Apr. 10) afternoon. 
 
Following the contest against the Bucs, the Knights go up against the Fighting Knights of Lynn University in Boca Raton on Tuesday (Apr. 11) afternoon. 
 
Queens will then travel to West Palm Beach as they go up against the Sailfish of Palm Beach Atlantic University on Wednesday (Apr. 12) afternoon. 
 
After the match-up against the Sailfish, the Knights match up against Florida Southern University Mocs on Thursday (Apr. 13) afternoon in Lakeland. 
 
The Florida trip concludes in Winter Park on Friday (Apr. 14) afternoon against the Rollins College Tars. 
 
Druker and the Knights officially conclude the regular season in ECC play as they match up against the Wildcats in Buffalo on Saturday (Apr. 15) afternoon. 

The Knights finished the fall with a 1-1 overall record.
