FLUSHING, N.Y. – The Queens College men's basketball team return to Flushing after a six-game road stand as they conclude their season series against the Firebirds of the University of the District of Columbia Saturday afternoon.
The Knights will be looking to end a two-game losing skid against the Firebirds. The Firebirds took the first matchup as they defended home court on December 11, 2021. At home, Queens holds an 8-1 series record and have been victorious in their last eight games against UDC.

Scouting Queens College
Queens (7-6 overall, 5-4 ECC) returns home after 53 days since their overtime victory over Molloy College. In 2022, the Knights have played six games on the road and are 4-2 entering their first home game of the new year.
As a team, Queens is averaging 71.2 points on 43.7 percent shooting, 43.5 rebounds
(ranked #10 in the nation), and 12.4 assists per game. In East Coast Conference play the Knights are ranked first in rebounds and blocks per game.
The offense is led by junior
William Ellis (Valley Stream, N.Y.) averaging 13.0 points per game in ECC play and has tallied 10 double-digit performances on the season. The Valley Stream native is coming off a game-winning performance against Staten Island as the junior tallied 23 points (9-of-12 FG) on 75.0 percent shooting.
While junior
Tyler Carey (Bay Shore, N.Y.) leads the conference in blocks shot per game and is ranked 15 in the nation. Carey tallied a career-high 16 points in the win over Staten Island.
Scouting District of Columbia
UDC (6-16 overall, 5-7 ECC) is coming off a 92-64 victory over Molloy College Wednesday evening.
As a team the Firebirds are averaging 68.1 points per game on 44.8 percent shooting while averaging 35.5 rebounds and 15.6 assists per game.
The offense is led by Kenyon Stone averaging 16.1 points per game and has tallied six 20 points or more scoring performances on the season. Stone tallied 25 points in the win over Queens back on Dec. 11.
