FLUSHING, N.Y. – Three players scored in double-figures as the Queens College women's basketball team concluded the 2021-2022 season with a 65-39 loss to the visiting Wildcats of Daemen College Saturday afternoon.
Before tip-off head coach Bet Naumovski and the Knights honored seniors
Lucy Tougas (Glen Falls, N.Y.) and
Nora Gabel (Port Jefferson Station, N.Y.) in their annual Senior day ceremony.
How it Happened
Queens got off to a slow start as they found themselves trailing 9-0 at the 7:24 mark before the Knights went on an 8-0 run to cut the deficit down to 9-8 with 5:56 left in the first quarter. But the home side would find themselves trailing 18-10 after the first stanza.
But the Knights would battle back in the second quarter as they looked to keep the game within a single-digit deficit. But offensive struggles would haunt the Knights as they were unable to find any rhythm as they dropped the regular season finale to the score of 65-39.
