Reardon Announces Baseball 2023 Season Home Schedule

FLUSHING, N.Y. – On Thursday (Dec. 29) afternoon, Queens College Baseball head coach Chris Reardon '98 announced the Knights 2023 season home schedule.
 
Last season Queens finished the regular season with an overall record of 24-15 and a 15-7 record at Hennenkens Stadium. All home games will take place at Hennekens Stadium 
 
The Knights' 15 wins at home in 2022 were the most since the 2019 season when they went 13-6 on their road to their first East Coast Conference postseason tournament appearance since the 1998 season. 
 
In 23 games to be held at Hennekens Stadium, Queens will host 12 regional opponents which include 11 nine-single innings games and six doubleheaders. 
 
Following a nine-game road stand to open the season, Reardon and his squad will officially open the homestand on Sunday (Mar. 12) afternoon as they conclude the four-game series against CACC member in the Lightning of Goldey-Beacom College (2022 Record: 27-25) in the first of five doubleheaders of the season at home. 
 
The Knights will then welcome another CACC opponent in the Bears of Bloomfield College (2022 Record: 15-26) to Flushing for a three-game series beginning with Saturday (Mar. 18) afternoon. The series will conclude on Sunday (Mar. 19) afternoon in a single nine inning game. 
 
East Coast Conference play officially opens for Reardon and his squad as they open a four-game series on Friday (Mar. 24) afternoon as fellow CUNY member in the Dolphins of College of Staten Island (2022 Record: 11-25, ECC 4-15) visit Flushing. Following a doubleheader in Staten Island, the four-game series concludes against the Dolphins on Sunday (Mar. 26) afternoon.

Queens returns to non-conference play as the Golden Falcon of Felician University (2022 Record: 26-22) visit Flushing on Thursday (Mar. 30) afternoon. 
 
The Knights will then open a three-game homestand beginning with a Sunday (Apr. 2) afternoon doubleheader against NE10 member the Owls of Southern Connecticut State University (2022 Record: 31-15-1) before the Cougars of Caldwell University (2022 Record: 15-25) of the CACC visit on Tuesday (Apr. 4) afternoon. 
 
Queens will then welcome two-time defending ECC champions and rematch of the 2022 ECC final in the Lions of Molloy University (2022 Record: 40-15, ECC 16-2) for a doubleheader on Saturday (Apr. 8) afternoon. 
 
Returning to non-conference play, the Wildcats of Wilmington University (2022 Record: 31-13) of the CACC come to town for a mid-week matchup on Wednesday (Apr. 12) afternoon. 
 
It will be a weekend break away from home before the Mavericks of Mercy College (2022 Record: 21-25-1, ECC 14-7) visit Flushing for ECC play on Friday (Arp. 21) and Sunday (Apr. 23) afternoon. 
 
The homestand continues as NE10 member Panthers of Adelphi University (2022 Record: 30-15-2) come to town on Tuesday (Apr. 25) afternoon for their final non-conference opponent at home. 
 
ECC resumes as the Knights welcome the Saints of D'Youville University (2022 Record: 14-22, ECC 7-11) for a four-game series beginning on Friday (Apr. 28) afternoon. The series continues with a Saturday (Apr. 29) afternoon doubleheader before concluding on Sunday (Apr. 30) afternoon. 
 
The 2023 regular season homestand concludes on Senior Day against the Spartans of Saint Thomas Aquinas College (2022 Record: 23-23, ECC 14-7) with a Saturday (May. 6) afternoon doubleheader.
