Women’s Soccer Welcomes Saint Rose to Town

FLUSHING, N.Y. – The Queens College women's soccer team continues non-conference play as they welcome the Golden Knights of The College of Saint Rose to Flushing Saturday (Oct. 15) evening at QC Soccer Field.
 
Game time: 5:00 P.M.
 
Series History
  • Record: 0-4
  • Last Matchup: September 5, 2019 (L 0-3) Current Streak: L4
  • It will be the fifth meeting between both sides with the Knights still searching for their win against Saint Rose.
  • It will be just the second home game against the Golden Knights in Flushing.

Queens College
  • The Knights are 2-8-1 overall on the season and are coming off a thrilling 1-1 tie against Holy family University Tuesday evening.
  • Sophomore Julia Ragone (Centereach, N.Y.), Kristian Gambino (Deer Park, N.Y.), and Sarah Marino (Enfield, CT)Sara Messemer (Whitestone, N.Y.) lead the offense having tallied two goals.
  • Gambino leads the Knights with six points having tallied two goals and two assists.
  • On Tuesday (Oct. 11), the East Coast Conference office awarded Marino a spot on the Women's Soccer Weekly Honor Roll Sheet. (Link)
The College of Saint Rose
  • The Golden Knights are 10-0-3 on the season and are coming off a 4-0 victory over American International College. 
  • Saint Rose is ranked #11 in United Soccer Coaches Association and #1 in the East region.
  • Mia Klammer leads the offense having tallied 13 points for four goals and five assists on the season.
UP NEXT: The Knights open a two-game road stand beginning with East Coast Conference play on Saturday (Oct. 22) afternoon as they match up against the Spartans of St. Thomas Aquinas College in a crucial conference game. Kick-off is set for 2:30 P.M.
