Women’s Soccer Welcomes Holy Family Tuesday Evening

FLUSHING, N.Y. – The Queens College women's soccer team takes a break from East Coast Conference play as they return to non-conference play Tuesday (Oct. 11) evening by welcoming the Tigers of Holy Family University to QC Soccer Field.
 
Game time: 5:00 P.M.
 
Series History
  • Record: 2-6
  • Last Matchup: September 20, 2021 (L 1-3) Current Streak: L1
  • It will be the seventh meeting in program history with the Knights trailing the series 2-6
  • Queens is looking for their first win in Flushing over the Tigers since the 2008 season when they won 3-2. 
  • Last season the Knights fell 3-1 on the road.

Queens College
  • The Knights are 2-8 overall on the season and are looking for their non-conference victory of the season. 
  • Queens is coming off an 8-0 victory over Lincoln in ECC play Saturday afternoon. 
  • Sophomore Julia Ragone (Centereach, N.Y.), Kristina Gambino (Deer Park, N.Y.), and Sarah Marino (Enfield, CT) lead the offense having tallied two goals and an assist on the season.
  • On Monday (Sept. 19), the East Coast Conference office awarded Pappas a spot on the Women's Soccer Weekly Honor Roll Sheet. (Link).
 
Holy Family University
  • Holy Family is 3-4-4 on the season and enters Queens on a two-game win streak having defeated Alliance and Dominican (N.Y.) last week.
  • Jacqueline Ziegler leads the offense having tallied 11 points with four goals and three assists. 
  • While Gianna Monaco has notched seven points with three goals and one assist.
UP NEXT: The homestand continues Saturday (Oct. 15) evening as the Knights welcome the Golden Knights of The College of Saint Rose to Flushing. Kick-off is set for 5:00 P.M.
