FLUSHING, N.Y. – The Queens College women's basketball team returns to action for the first time in 2022 as they welcome St. Thomas Aquinas College Spartans on Saturday (Jan. 8) in East Coast Conference action.
Saturday's meeting will be the 47
th meeting between both programs with STAC leading the overall series 26-20. The Knights are on a six-game losing against the Spartans with the last win coming during the 2016-17 season.

Scouting Queens College
After having two games postponed, Queens will look to open 2022 on a high note with their first home game of the new year.
As a team the Knights are averaging 65.8 points on 40.1 percent shooting, 43.3 rebounds, and 15.3 assists per game.
Freshman
Chelsea Reeves (Brooklyn, N.Y.) leads the Knights averaging 12.5 in conference play, and has posted five double-digit scoring efforts on the season. Against District of Columbia, she posted her first career double-double with 13 points, career-high 12 rebounds, and three steals. In their last game against Nyack on Dec. 30 Reeves tallied a near triple-double with 12 points, 11 rebounds, and seven assists.

Jennah DeGout (Bronx, N.Y.) tallied her first career double-double with a career-high 21 points and 12 rebounds against Nyack.
Scouting St. Thomas Aquinas College
STAC comes to Flushing with a 2-9 overall record, 1-1 in ECC play, and will be playing their first game since their 64-49 win over Bridgeport on Friday, Dec. 17.
As a team, they are averaging 54.2 points on 32.7 percent shooting, 40.9 rebounds, and 12.6 assists per game on the season.
The offense is led by Alexa Huertas averaging 8.3 points per game who has appeared in six games. while Sarah Ericson is averaging 7.9 points per game in 10 appearances. Huertas has tallied two double-digit performances with two 14 point games.
While Ericson has posted four double-digit performances with a season-high 14 points in the win over Bridgeport.
UP NEXT: Queens travels to Buffalo, N.Y. as they go up against D'Youville College Saints on Friday (Jan. 14) and Sunday (Jan. 16) against Daemen College Wildcats in ECC play.
