WEST BABYLON, N.Y. – On Monday afternoon, the East Coast Conference office announced freshman
Jennah DeGout (Bronx, N.Y.) was named Player of the Week, while freshman
Chelsea Reeves (Brooklyn, N.Y.) earned Rookie of the Week honors.
Jennah DeGout (Fr | Forward) Player of the Week
DeGout tallied her first career double-double with a career-high 21 points and 12 rebounds against Nyack. Off the bench, the Bronx native played 24 minutes shooting a searing 88.9 percent (8-of-9 FG). For the third time this season, DeGout tallied 12 rebounds or more in a game.
DeGout is the first freshman to earn Player of the Week honors this season.
Chelsea Reeves (Fr. | Guard) Rookie of the Week
Reeves tallied a near triple-double with 12 points, 11 rebounds, and career-high seven assists against Nyack (Dec. 30). In 33 minutes of action, the Brooklyn native shot 57.1 percent (4-of-7 FG) from the field to go with one block.
UP NEXT: The Knights will hit the road to start 2022 as they travel to Dobbs Ferry on Wednesday with a matchup against Mercy College Mavericks. Tipoff set for noon.
