Women's Basketball vs. Roberts Wesleyan College Game Day Preview

FLUSHING, N.Y. – The Queens College women's basketball team hosts 2020-21 East Coast Conference champions Redhawks of Roberts Wesleyan College Friday evening. 
 
Friday's game will be the 18th overall matchup in program history with the Knights leading the series 12-5 dating back to the 2012-13 season. Queens holds a 6-2 series advantage in Flushing.

The Knights picked up an 82-53 victory at home to split the season series 1-1. The 29-point victory is the largest margin of victory against Roberts Wesleyan.  
 
Scouting Queens College
 
The Knights are looking to rebound off back-to-back losses when they host the Redhawks Friday evening.
 
On the season Queen is averaging 65.6 points on 39.9 percent shooting, 41.9 rebounds, and 14.6 assists per game. 
 
The offense is led by junior Khadija Demry (Brooklyn, N.Y.) and freshman Chelsea Reeves (Brooklyn, N.Y.) who are averaging 12.2 points per game. Demry has posted seven double-digit performances on the season with a career-high 24 points against Post University. The Brooklyn native has been named to the ECC honor roll sheet twice. 
 
Reeves is a two-time ECC Rookie of the Week recipient and has posted seven double-digit performances on the season including a career-high 33 points against STAC. She has posted two double-doubles performances in conference play against UDC and STAC. Against Mercy (Jan. 19) she brought down a career-high 13 rebounds.
 
Scouting Roberts Wesleyan College
 
Roberts Wesleyan (6-5 overall, 3-2 ECC) are on a two-game winning streak earning wins over UDC and Bridgeport.  
 
On the season, the Redhawks are averaging 63.6 points shooting 40.7 percent from the field with 39.5 rebounds and 14.1 assists per game. 
 
Taryn Wilson leads the offense averaging 13.3 points and is coming off a 25 point performance in the win over Bridgeport. Wilson has been placed on the ECC honor roll sheet on two occasions this season. While Georgia Haverlock is the second leading scorer averaging 12.1 points per game. 
 
UP NEXT: Queens hits the road on Sunday (Jan. 23) as they travel to Bridgeport, CT with a matchup against the University of Bridgeport Purple Knights. Tip-off set for 1:00 p.m.
