Flushing, N.Y.- The road trip continues for the Queens College volleyball team (0-2) as they travel to Caldwell, New Jersey with a match-up against Caldwell University Cougars on Tuesday (Sept. 7). From the George R. Newman Center. The Cougars are opening their season against the Knights.

The last time both teams faced each other was on Oct. 18 as the Knights visited the Cougars. The Knights were defeated 3-1 with the set scores of 14-25, 21-25, 25-22, and 15-25. Leeks Hollis led the Knights with nine kills and team-high 13 digs. Danielle Agbonifino posted a six-kill performance with a .667 hitting percentage along with a group that also included Lauren Kehoe, Dee-Ana Mitchell, and Briana Green. Mitchell remains the lone player from the 2018 season. 
 
Scouting Queens College Knights last game: SCSU Tri-Series (9/3/21)
 
The Knights opened the season at the SCSU Tri-series on Friday (9/3/21) as they went up against Dominican College and host Southern Connecticut State University. The Knights suffered two 3-1 losses. Freshmen Christina Franco (Lynnbrook, N.Y.) impressed on debut as she posted 20 kills and 22 digs on the nights. She posted a career-best double-double in her first game against Dominican College with 11 kills and 13 digs. While junior Genesis Soto (San Juan, Puerto Rico) posted 12 kills in two games.

The Cougars are playing their first game of the season in their home opener as they welcome the Knights. 
 
Next Match-up: The Knights will travel to Lakewood, NJ on Saturday (Sept. 11) as they take part in the Georgian Court Tri-Match against host Georgian Court University Lions (11 a.m.) and West Chester University of Pennsylvania Golden Rams (1 p.m.).
