FLUSHING, N.Y. – The Queens College women's basketball team concludes the 2021 year with non-conference action on the road as they match up against the Nyack College Warriors in Jersey City, N.J. on Thursday (Dec. 30) afternoon.
Thursday afternoon will be the seventh meeting between both sides with the Knights leading the overall series 6-0. Queens is averaging 72.83 per game with the largest margin of victory coming on November 16, 2010, with a 79-42 victory.

After leading 15-14 after the first quarter, Queens opened the floodgates tallying 22 points, while holding Nyack to six points to race out to a 37-20 lead at halftime. The Knights were on fire from the get-go, shooting 53% (30-57) from the floor including a hot-handed second period with 65% (11-17) of the team's shots falling. It only got better for QC in the second half, specifically in the third quarter as the squad went 9-for-11 (82%) from the floor out of the halftime break. Queens was dominant in the paint as well, out-rebounding the Warriors by a 50-29 margin.
Scouting Queens College
Queens (0-7 overall) will look to end 2021 on a high note and pick up their first win of the season.
As a team the Knights are averaging 64.1 points on 39.6 percent shooting, 42.0 rebounds, and 15.1 assists per game.
Junior
Khadija Demry (Brooklyn, N.Y.) leads the offense averaging 14.3 points per game, on 38.3 percent shooting. The Brooklyn native has tallied four double-digit scoring efforts including two 20-point efforts this season.
While freshman
Chelsea Reeves (Brooklyn, N.Y.) has stepped up for the Knights including tallying her first career double-double with 13 points, career-high 12 rebounds, and three steals in the comeback attempt against UDC on Saturday (Dec. 11). On the season Reeves is averaging 9.9 points and 6.6 rebounds per game.
Demry has been placed on the East Coast Conference honor roll sheet twice this season.
Scouting Nyack College
Nyack is 0-6 and has fallen to three ECC opponents on the year. The Warriors are averaging 56.2 points per game with 33.4 percent shooting. As a team, they are averaging 38.3 rebounds, 9.0 assists while committing 19.2 turnovers per game.
Carly Bolivar and Amani Levitan lead the team averaging 11.5 points per game. Bolivar has tallied three double-digit performances on the season including a season-high 21 points against Bridgeport. While Levitan has notched four double-digit performances with a season-high 20 points against Post University.
