FLUSHING, N.Y.- The Queens College volleyball team opens a two-game homestand as the 2021 season starts to wind down. The Knights will host Roberts Wesleyan College Redhawks in East Coast Conference on Sunday afternoon as they conclude their two-game series. 
 
Before the first serve, the Knights will honor their four graduating seniors Melody Pabon, Danielle NaggarGenesis Soto, and Dee-Ana Mitchell

The Knights snapped a four-game losing against the Redhawks and earn the Knights their first ECC road win since the 2017 season in which Queens defeated Roberts Wesleyan 3-1. Mitchell led the offense with a game-high nine kills, while freshman Christina Franco tallied seven kills and team-high 13 digs on the day. 
  
Scouting Queens College Knights
 
The Knights are 3-17 overall, 2-8 in East Coast Conference, and are on a six-game losing streak. On the season Queens is averaging 8.6 kills per set having combined for 585 kills with Franco and Mitchell leading the way with 144 and 108 kills. Sophomore Leila Hadjeb leads the Knights defensively with 214 digs and has served up 29 aces on the season. Alexis Deodat and Anjeline Arnakis have combined for 34 solo blocks and 33 blocks assists. The Knights are 2-6 overall in matches that have gone to four sets, while 1-11 in three sets. 
 
Scouting Roberts Wesleyan College 
 
Roberts Wesleyan is 2-20 overall, 1-10 ECC on the season, and is on a two-game losing streak. On the season they are averaging 9.4 kills per set with a total of 669 kills. Despite hitting .088% , the offense is being led three players who have tallied 100+ kills or more in Sydney Yanaka (129 kills), Emily Rowlison (126 kills), and Lauren Norwood (121 kills). 
 
Next Match-up: The Knights conclude the home portion of their 2021 schedule in non-conference play against Pace University Setters on Tuesday (Nov. 9). First serve set for 7:00 p.m.
