FLUSHING, N.Y. – The Queens College men's basketball team returns to action as they open a three-game homestand starting with the visiting Lions of Georgian Court University. It will be the fourth meeting against the Lions. The Knights are winless in their three previous meetings and will look to end that streak on Monday.

The Knights held a five-point lead at halftime but would fall 58-63 in Lakewood, New Jersey. Keenan Gorski scored 12 points in the second half, while Elijah Bovell led the Knights with a team-high 21 points. Senior
Eddie Mehmetaj (Jamaica, N.Y.) tallied seven points and seven rebounds in the effort. The Knights shot 38% (21-55) from the field in the contest and hit 8-of-24 (33%) from beyond the three-point line. The Lions would hit free throws down the stretch to seal the win.
Scouting Queens College
Queens (1-1) returns to action after a week off and is looking to rebound from a double-overtime loss at Holy Family on Saturday (Nov. 20). The Knights are averaging 74.0 points per game on 46 percent shooting with 47.5 rebounds per game.
The offense is led by the freshman duo
Jayden Seraphin (Lakeview, N.Y.) who is averaging 16.5 points per game, and
Shamar Chester (Queens, N.Y.) with an average of 12.0 points per game. While
Eddie Mehmetaj (Jamaica, N.Y.) is averaging a double-double with 15.0 points and 10.5 rebounds per game.
Chester and Seraphin were awarded East Coast Conference Rookie of the Week honors, while Mehmetaj has earned a honor roll spot in week 1 for his effort in the win over Felician in the Knights season opener.
Scouting Georgian Court
Georgian Court (1-3) snapped a three-game losing streak with a 70-58 win over Mercy College. The Lions are averaging 58.5 points and 37.8 rebounds per game. They have made 26 three-pointers on the season shooting 29.9 percent including a season-high seven on three different occasions.
The offense is led by Jelani Jackson who is averaging a team-high 16.0 points per game and is coming off a season-high 31 points in the win over Mercy. Duran Alicea and Clint Wright Jr. are averaging 14.5 and 10.5 to help the offense.
