WEST BABYLON, N.Y. –  On Monday afternoon, freshman Jayden Seraphin (Lakeview, N.Y.) was awarded the East Coast Conference Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week, the league office announced. 
 
Seraphin becomes the second Knight to be named Rookie of the Week following freshman Shamar Chester (Queens, N.Y) honors in the first report of the season. 
 
Rookie of the Week
Seraphin scored a career-high 21 points off the bench on 9-of-15 shooting and added six rebounds against Holy Family University on Saturday. Playing a season-high 41 minutes, he added four steals in the effort.
 
On the season the Lakeview native has appeared off the bench in both games and is averaging 16.5 points per page on 68 percent shooting, 4.0 rebounds, and 3.0 steals per game.
