FLUSHING, N.Y. – The Queens College women's basketball team hits the road for the first time this season in non-conference action as they travel to Waterbury, CT on Saturday at the Drubner Center. The Knights will face up against Post University Eagles for the eighth time in program history. Queens hold a 4-3 series lead but have emerged victorious in only one meeting in Waterbury. Saturday's meeting will be the first meeting at the Drubner Center since the 09-10 season. The last win against the Eagles came on November 10, 2012, as the Knights took a 65-46 victory in Flushing.

Two Knights scored in double-digits but Queens would fall 73-52 at home. The Knights were unable to keep up in the second half as the Eagles shot over 55 percent. Queens was limited to six points in the third quarter as Post outscored the home side 18-6.
Scouting Queens College
Queens have opened the season 0-2 as they dropped both of their games in the ECC/CACC Conference Challenge at home. The Knights are led by junior
Khadija Demry (Brooklyn, N.Y.) who averaged 18.0 points per game on 42.9 percent shooting. She started her Knights career with career-high 22 points (9-for-20 FG) against Jefferson on Saturday in the season opener against Jefferson and then put up 14 points against Chestnut Hill on Sunday.
The season-opening performances would earn Demry an ECC Honor Roll spot in the first weekly award sheet of the season.
Scouting Post University
Post is 1-1 on the season having defeated Adelphi University to open the season but would fall 76-58 to Franklin Pierce University. The Eagles are averaging 57.5 points per game and are shooting 37 percent from the field. They are averaging 21.0 turnovers per game with opponents shooting 36 percent from the field.
Sha'raya Haines leads the offense averaging 19.0 PPG, 5.5 RPG, while Makayla Thompson is averaging 10.5 PPG. Haines has scored in double digits in back-to-back games including a season-high 23 points in the win over Adelphi.
UP NEXT: The Knights will open a four-game homestand as they welcome Felician University to Flushing on Tuesday (Nov. 23). Tip-off set for 6:00 p.m.
