FLUSHING, N.Y.- The Queens College volleyball team is back in Flushing after a two-game road to Buffalo. Looking to end a four-game losing skid, the Knights welcome the University of Bridgeport to Flushing.

The Knights were swept for the seventh straight match against the Purple Knights. With the offense unable to fire consistently the Knights fell in three-set to the score of 25-17, 25-8, 25-16. Freshman Christina Franco (Lynbrook, N.Y.) led the Knights with a team-high five kills and five digs. 
 
Scouting Queens College Knights
 
The Knights are 3-15 overall, 2-6 in East Coast Conference, and have lost their four-game. On the season Queens is averaging 8.7 kills per set having combined for 531 kills with Franco and junior Dee-Ana Mitchell leading the way with 130 and 108 kills. Sophomore Leila Hadjeb leads the Knights defensively with 200 digs and has served up 25 aces on the season. 
 
Scouting University of Bridgeport 
 
The Purple Knights are 12-8 overall, 5-2 in ECC, and are riding a four-game winning streak. Bridgeport battled back from a first set loss on Sunday against Roberts Wesleyan to win 3-1. Paola Hernandez has been named ECC Rooke of the Week on four different occasions while being named ECC Player of the Week once. Hernandez leads the offense with 261 kills, hitting .210% with a 3.39 average per set. As a team, the Purple Knights are averaging 12.7 kills per set, while serving up 2.1 aces per set. 
 
Next Match-up: Queens returns to the road as they wrap up their two-game series against Mercy College Mavericks Thursday evening. First serve for 7 p.m.
