BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Apr. 3, 2019) -
Sarah Koehler collected her team-high twenty-first goal of the season and
Jess Serpe made eight saves in net for the Queens College women's lacrosse team in a 19-1 loss to No. 5/11 LIU Post on Wednesday (Apr. 3) at Bethpage Federal Credit Union Stadium in Brookville.
Koehler won a team-high four draw controls as well for the Knights, who fell to 1-10 on the season and 0-3 in East Coast Conference play.
Patriece Ausili won two draws and led QC with three total shots while Koehler tallied two shot attempts in the match.
Nicole Cutrone and
Lauren Gentile also attempted a shot against the Pioneers, with Cutrone and
Lauren Hilke each causing a turnover in the effort. Hilke and
Maggie Iavarone had one ground ball pickup, as well.
Koehler's marker came with just under eight-and-a-half minutes gone by in the second half, as LIU led 13-0 at the break.
Queens will host the Firebirds of the University of the District of Columbia on Saturday (Apr. 6) in Flushing at 1 p.m.
