FLUSHING, N.Y. (Mar. 15, 2019) - Senior
Stanislas Bedrune of the Queens College men's tennis team won all 18 games that he played in for the Knights on Friday (Mar. 15), helping lead QC to a 7-0 sweep of Yeshiva University in a Division II/III cross-over match at the Queens College Tennis Center.
Bedrune teamed with
Mariano Biblioni at third-doubles to claim a 6-0 victory against Alex Kalb and Ezra Rudansky; the senior from France matched up with Rudansky in fifth-singles later in the match and walked away with a 6-0, 6-0 triumph as well.
Nicholas Volos and
Hugo Evangelista de Andrade were also 6-0, 6-0 winners in singles play at the fourth- and sixth-flight, respectively.
Queens claimed the doubles point against the Maccabees as
Camilo Arias and Evangelista won a 6-3 decision at the second tandem versus Amram Wahnon and Meir Melamed.
Jose Zurro was victorious in the top-flight of singles play by a 6-0, 6-1 count against Aaron Cohen while Arias and Biblioni also posted straight-set wins.
The Knights will prepare for their East Coast Conference opening match on Saturday (Mar. 23) when District of Columbia visits Flushing for a 12 p.m. showcase.
