FLUSHING, N.Y. (Feb. 23, 2019) - The Queens College men's tennis team took its lumps Saturday (Feb. 23) in a 6-1 defeat at the hands of Division I Wagner in an evening showcase at the QC Tennis Center.
Kareem Rashad won the Knights' only point in singles play, as the freshman claimed a 6-1, 6-3 victory in the third flight of singles against Wagner's Lucas Gonzalez.Â
The Seahawks won second- and third-doubles to claim the opening point of the contest, then took five of the remaining six points in singles action.
Lucas Demuth dropped a hard-fought three-setter (7-6 [2], 2-6, 4-6) in fourth-singles to Hans Ohrner while
Jose Zurro's fifth-singles match against Eric Poland went to Wagner by a 7-6 (7-3), 7-5 scoreline.
Queens will look to take home its first win on Wednesday (Feb. 27) with a 12 p.m. contest against ASA College in Flushing.Â
