SPARKILL, N.Y. (Oct. 26, 2019) - Despite out-shooting St. Thomas Aquinas by an 11-8 margin, the Queens College women's soccer team was unable to put a goal on the scoreboard after 110 minutes of action that resulted in a 0-0 draw between the Knights and the Spartans on Saturday (Oct. 26).
The game marked the first tie on the season for Queens, which now holds a 7-7-1 record with a 1-4-1 mark in conference play. St. Thomas Aquinas, on the other hand, ran its record to 1-11-2 and 1-4-2 in ECC action.
Knights That Shined
- In a game that featured no goals, the goalies were on full display and QC keeper Shenae Kreps kept the Knights involved in the contest with five saves.
- Sarah Marino had a team-high three shots while Synne Flem and Stacy Gomez both took two attempts towards goal in the contest.
- Queens had the best chance to strike for victory in the second overtime period as Shannon Gibbons directed a shot on net in the 104th minute but STAC goalie Colleen Stevens was wise to the task and made the save.

Queens will gear up for its second-to-last contest and the final road trip of the 2019 regular season campaign as the Knights make their way to Old Westbury on Saturday (Nov. 2) to face New York Tech at 2:30 p.m.
