Box Score QUEENS, N.Y. - The Queens College women's basketball team's six game winning streak was snapped Monday evening, as the Knights fell to Bridgeport 67-58 at Fitzgerald Gymnasium. Holding a narrow 49-47 advantage after three quarters, QC was outscored 20-7 by the Purple Knights in the fourth quarter.
Playing without the services of leading scorer Madison Rowland, the Knights had three players in double figures led by red-shirt senior MacKenzie Rowland. Rowland posted a game-high 24 points to go along with eight rebounds, six steals, five assists and three blocks. Senior guard Kristen Korzevinski posted 14 points, while senior forward Elisabeth Gully finished with 12 points and eight rebounds.
The frontcourt efficiency resulted in a 38-24 advantage for the Knights in points in the paint, but Bridgeport held a significant 19-5 margin in bench points.
Kadijah Dickson led Bridgeport with 15 points, while Morgen Caution had 12 points. The Knights are back in action against UDC Thursday evening.
