Box Score QUEENS, N.Y. - Senior Mohamed Dansoko posted a season-high 18 points and seven rebounds in the Queens College men's basketball team's 82-66 loss to Mercy Saturday afternoon. The Knights now sit at 3-8 on the season in East Coast Conference action, and 5-11 overall.
Dansoko registered his third straight double-digit effort on a 7-for-9 performance from the floor, and 4-for-5 clip at the free throw line. Junior Tyree White finished with 13 points, nine rebounds and four assists for the Knights in the contest.
With Queens ahead 7-4, with 16:24 left in the opening half, Mercy scored 11 straight points to take a 15-7 advantage. The Mavericks would lead for the remainder of the contest, taking a 38-24 lead into half. With 3:38 remaining in the contest, Mercy took its biggest lead of the game, 76-53.
Queens connected on 43.3% of their attempts, while Mercy shot 44.6% from the floor. The Mavericks held a 20-10 advantage in second chance points.
Mercy was led by 20 points apiece from William Robinson and Tyseem Lyles. The Knights are back in action Monday evening against Bridgeport.
