Queens Men's Hoops Stopped At Daemen

AMHERST, N.Y. - The Queens College men's basketball team posted a season high scoring output in a 107-96 setback to Daemen Sunday afternoon in East Coast Conference action.

Junior Tyree White finished with a game-high 26 points, just two points shy of matching his season high.  White connected on a season best 11 of his 14 attempts from the field.

Senior Mohamed Dansoko finished with 16 points, while junior Kyheim Chaplin contributed 14 points, with three three-pointers.  Senior Paul Little and junior Malcolm Moore each contributed 10 points.  Overall, the Knights shot 52.8% from the field in the contest, and tallied a season best 22 assists on 38 field goals as a team.

After the Knights scored the first two points of the game, the Wildcats answered with a 15-2 surge that propelled the home team ahead for good.

Daemen had six players in double figures, led Arif Mehmetaj's 25 points.  The Knights are back in action Wednesday at home, against St. Thomas Aquinas (5:30 pm).
