Gully Posts Double-Double For WBB At Adelphi

GARDEN, CITY, N.Y. - Senior Elisabeth Gully scored 15 points and grabbed a game-high 12 rebounds in the No. 21 ranked Queens College women's basketball team's 63-39 loss to Adelphi Wednesday evening.

Gully grabbed nine of 12 boards on the offensive end, and connected on nine attempts from the free throw line.  Freshman Emer Moloney added 10 points in the contest for QC, connecting on both of the team's three-pointers in the contest.

In the opening quarter, the Knights struggled from the field resulting in just six points, off 2-13 shooting from the field and three turnovers.  Trailing 18-6, Queens was outscored 24-17 in the second quarter as the home Panthers took a 42-23 advantage to the locker room.

In a third quarter nearly identical to the opening period, the Knights were held to just four points in the frame as Adelphi opened up a 59-27 cushion after the opening 30 minutes.  Queens responded in the final quarter by outscoring the Panthers 12-10.

Sierra Clark scored a game-high 19 points for Adelphi.  The Knights are back in action Saturday afternoon at UDC (1:00 pm).
