Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. (January 26th, 2013) – The
Knights men's basketball team won their season-high third
straight game against the Mercy Mavericks 90-73 to move to
5-4 in the East Coast Conference.
The first half of the game went the Knights way, as they led
Mercy 51-36 at halftime. Junior Patrick Parker led the team
with a total of 32 points. In the first half alone, he posted 20
points, including four three-pointers and 7 field goals. He got
support off the bench from freshman DeJuhan Gray who put up 11
first-half points, including a three-pointer against Mercy.
In the 2nd half, Parker continued his strong outing
as he drained three three-pointers and four more field goals, which
gave him 12 points for the 2nd half. The Knights
defense helped the Knights maintain a 20-point lead most of the
2nd half, as QC had a 17-point edge by the time the
final buzzer sounded.
The Knights men's basketball team will return home on
Wednesday, January 30th to take on the NYIT Bears at the
Maurice FitzGerald Gymnasium at 7 PM.
