Rutherford, New Jersey (November 13, 2012) - In the
Knights third game of the season, men's basketball fell to
the Felician College Golden Falcons 86-67 to fall to 0-3 on the
young 2012-2013 season, in a game relocated to the Job Gym on the
campus of Felician College due to Queens College's recovery
efforts in the wake of Hurricane Sandy.
In the first half, the guys got production from junior
forward Pat Piasecki, who made four buckets and a free throw
totaling 9 points for the half. That, along with six points apiece
from sophomore Guard Abe Akanmu and junior Guard Patrick Parker,
helped them end the half just 4 points behind at 36-32.
In the second half, Knights senior Daniel Watson led the team
with 8 points (three 2-pointers and two free made free throws) and
Parker added another 6 points. However the Knights 34% field goal
percentage did not match up with Felician's 63% field goal
percentage as they were outscored 50-35.
The Knights are back in action on Sunday November
18th at New Haven University in New Haven, Connecticut
at 4 PM.
