Dobbs Ferry, NY (October 18, 2012) – The Knights
women's volleyball squad earned a straight set win over the
Mercy College Mavericks to improve to 3-6 in the ECC. The Knights
won 25-17 in set 1, 25-15 in set 2 and wrapped up the match with a
25-21 third set victory.
The Knights were led by freshman Else Buchmiller (#6) with 12
kills on 23 attempts. Freshman Xhesi Domi(#14) led the team
with 10 digs on the night. Senior Suzanne Byrne(#8) played a role
in the contest as well with 9 kills and 10 digs against Mercy.
The Knights will next play on Tuesday, October 23rd
at 6 PM when they host the UDC Firebirds on “Dig Pink”
night at the Fitzgerald Gymnasium.
