FLUSHING, N.Y. - Senior forward Khalil McDonald (Queens Village, N.Y.) picked up a double-double with 11 points and as many rebounds, while sophomore guard Jeremiah Mordi (Valley Stream, N.Y.) led all players with 18 points Saturday afternoon at Fitzgerald Gymnasium, as the Queens College men's basketball team lost by a 60-51 count to visiting Dowling College in East Coast Conference action.

Mordi added four assists and a season-best three blocked shots for the host Knights, while freshman point guard Abe Akanmu (Staten Island, N.Y.) led QC with three steals on defense.

Head coach Kyrk Peponakis's Knights are back in ECC action on the road Wednesday night (Jan. 25), when they travel to Old Westbury, N.Y., for a 7 p.m. tip-off at New York Institute of Technology.
