FLUSHING, N.Y. - Freshman post player Megan Lonergan scored a career-best 15 points and added six rebounds Saturday night at Fitzgerald Gymnasium, as the Queens College women's basketball team fell in an East Coast Conference contest to Molloy College, 79-61.
Lonergan (Rockville Centre, N.Y.) was 6-for-10 from the floor, and buried all three of her free throws on the day for the Knights. Catherine Pastor (Hewlett, N.Y.) added a career-high 23 points and tied with sophomore Alexandra Marshall (Manorville, N.Y.) for the team lead with seven caroms.
Head coach Bet Naumovski's Queens team is back in home action at Fitzgerald Gymnasium Monday night, as it wraps up its pre-holiday schedule with a 5 p.m. non-conference tip-off against Caldwell College.
