FLUSHING, N.Y. - Senior Edil Lacayo's 17 points were not enough Tuesday night at Fitzgerald Gymnasium, as the Queens College men's basketball team fell victim to a hot-shooting Stonehill College side.
Lacayo was 5-for-7 from the floor, including a 4-for-5 effort from 3-point range for the Knights.
Sophomore Jeremiah Mordi was 6-for-12 from the field en route to 15 points, while classmate Pat Piasecki scored 11 points in the low post for QC.
The Knights are back in action Saturday night, when they travel to Manchester, N.H., for an 8 p.m. tip-off at Southern New Hampshire University.
