FLUSHING, N.Y. - The Queens College volleyball team wrapped up its 2011 campaign in grand fashion Tuesday night at Fitzgerald Gymnasium, as the Knights hit .234 as a team and received strong performances from seniors Jovana Pavlovic and Stephanie Schroeder in their collegiate finale, en route to a 3-2 victory over visiting University of Bridgeport (20-25, 25-20, 26-24, 21-25, 15-10).

Pavlovic (Belgrade, Serbia) hit .343 on 28 kills to go with seven assisted blocks, and put down six kills on 12 error-free attempts in the fifth and deciding set to help QC (9-18, 4-10 East Coast Conference) put things away. Schroeder (Lynbrook, N.Y.) added four assisted blocks and 23 assists. Junior outside hitter Suzanne Byrne (Richmond, B.C.) registered a double-double with 11 kills and a team-best 19 digs, while sophomore setter Ceren Kilic (Istanbul, Turkey) filled the stat sheet with six kills, 27 assists and 13 digs.

Larissa Oliveira had 18 kills and five blocks (one solo) for Bridgeport (17-6, 10-4 ECC), while Biljana Savic and Fernanda Costa chipped in with 17 and 15 kills, respectively.
